History
The first tavern “Korchma Taras Bulba” in Moscow was opened on 25th of March 1999 at 30/7 Petrovka Str. At the present time the chain of restaurants is presented in Moscow (16 restaurnats) and Kiev (1 restaurant). The opening of “Korchma Taras Bulba” in New-York is planned for 2013. “Korchma Taras Bulba” is specialized in traditional Ukrainian cuisine. The interior design of the restaurants also represents traditional Ukrainian tavern.
Interior
For the interior of “Korchma Taras Bulba” designers used wooden furniture, embroidered towels, homespun carpets and runners, tablecloths and valances, as well as elements of dead hedge, greybeards, rouses and other items which are typical for Ukrainian rural huts. The interior decoration was designed by Konstantin Lavrov, the honored artist of Ukraine and prize winner after Lesya Ukrainka and T. G. Shevchenko.
Menu
The menu represents traditional Ukrainian cuisine dishes: nourishing borshch with pampushki (garlic donuts), dumplings, pancakes with various fillings, chicken Kiev (cutlets a-la Kiev). “Korchma Taras Bulba” offers homemade potions and wines, liqueurs, Russian vodka or Ukrainian gorilka. There is a special "express menu".
Interesting to know
All agricultural products for “Korchma Taras Bulba” are grown at own farm “”Kazachie” Ltd., situated in Ryazan Region. “Korchma Taras Bulba” actively promotes books for children issued by Ukrainian publishing house A-ba-ba-ga-la-ma-ga, providing all organization and financing the Moscow representative office of the publishing house. Marathon club “Korchma Taras Bulba” was founded in 2004. V. V. Putin visited “Korchma Taras Bulba” in Moscow in 2005. When leaving he did not refuse to drink one for the road (in Russian – “na pososhok”, in Ukrainian “na konya”).

I'm not trying to be a versatile or, as they say, an extraordinary personality. I just want to be happy. Happiness for me is a harmony of creativity, learning, health, work and God. These things bring harmony, and, therefore, Happiness.
I was born in 1966 in Kiev, finished school No.74. Contrary to popular belief, I refused to go into higher education.
I started working in 1983, since then I have changed many jobs – from aid-man in the hospital and industrial worker to the director of funds department in the bank.
In 1999, I opened the first restaurant of Ukrainian cuisine. Now they are fifteen. None of my restaurants was unprofitable; the biggest problem was in the unscrupulous landlords who have ruined many good businesses.
We publish children's books, operate orthopedic charity fund and develop farming unit of 2,000 ha in the Ryazan region.
Besides working, I love travelling – I conquered north and south poles, the highest points of all the continents (www.7summits.ru), I managed to ascend the mountain to around 8,200 m (Cho Oyu in Tibet).
In 2009, I joined the Union of Artists as a sculptor.
I am working as a professional photographer.
I have two daughters and a son.
